Daddy's Little girl

Daryl came home with this adorable little dress last week. take note, it's not pink, I have a hard time with the "pink bubble" that seems to surround girls. I am sure that I will get used to it some day, but for now yellow is great. Thank you Daryl.

So, we had our ultrasound yesterday, and much to my surprise we are having a Girl! She was a little shy, but the Dr. spent a lot of time checking and rechecking just to convince me (I could not believe it). Now that I am getting over my shock I am getting excited.

Well, we did not get the best pictures, all I wanted was a profile of Her face, but She would not cooperate.

Corbin just finished his Jr. Jazz season. This was his first year playing Jr. Jazz and he really enjoyed it. When the season started, we were wondering if he would ever take a shot because he has some self-confidence issues, but he did enjoy playing defense and passing the ball to other players. By the end of the season, he had definitely changed. He found out that he liked to shoot the ball and made 5 shots in the last game. He also became a little cocky, telling us what a good ball player he was.

Brayden has always been the brother who thinks he is as old as Corbin and should do everything Corbin does. He accomplished the physical aspect of this by the time he turned 2, when he caught up to Corbin in size. It was hard on Brayden when Corbin started school, but now Brayden is enjoying his preschool class and can’t wait for kindergarten to start in the fall. He is a very helpful child, who always comes up with new ideas on how to do things. He is also very inquisitive and wants to know the answer for everything. Too bad we don’t know all the answers. Maybe someday he will find the answers and enlighten us.

Easton is the youngest child (until July) and is the king of nicknames. Not long after he was born, he became known as “Mohawk baby.” Since he has multiple cowlicks, this was about the only hairstyle that would work. He was also known as “Little E” or “Baby E.” He has since progressed to “Small Fry” (a T-shirt he has) or “Easty.” He has even given himself a nickname “E.E.” which he and all his little buddies in the neighborhood call him. Easton has always been a headstrong kid that does things according to his timeframe. He sat up, crawled, and walked when he thought he should instead of when we thought he should. But when he decided to finally do these things, he did them perfectly. The same is true currently with potty training. After banging my head against the wall for the millionth time, he finally decided it was time, and has had only a couple of accidents. Now, I finally get a small break before it all starts back up again in July.
